Hydrolyzed keratin
Keratin is the main protein that makes up our hair, and the hydrolyzed form, where keratin is broken down into smaller molecules, can more easily penetrate the hair and revitalize it from the inside out. One of the key reasons for using hydrolyzed keratin in hair care is its ability to repair damaged hair. Chemical treatments, heat styling and environmental influences such as UV radiation often lead to porous and brittle hair. Hydrolyzed keratin fills in this damage and helps to smooth and restore the hair structure. This strengthens the hair and effectively reduces breakage and split ends. Hydrolyzed keratin also improves the elasticity of the hair. It gives the hair more flexibility and thus prevents hair breakage, especially in the case of fine or severely damaged hair. By strengthening the hair fibers, the hair becomes more resistant overall and retains its natural resilience and bounce. Hydrolyzed keratin also forms a thin protective layer around the hair, making it more resistant to external stress factors such as heat and environmental pollution. This protective layer not only helps to prevent hair damage, but also contributes to a silky shine.
